About

“She fully understands detailed design briefs, respects deadlines, and execute beautiful and innovative design and creative concepts - making her a valuable part of any design team.”

Ever since I was a child I've been creative. As soon as the fine motor skills were developed a pencil has been glued to my right hand, for the purpose of giving my fantasy wings.

I am a UX designer at the digital agency Dwarf which I have called home for 4+ years. I have a degree in Multimedia Design, Brand Design and a master in Digital Design with major in Interaction Design. I have 9+ years of experience in working with graphic -, UX - and digital design.

I believe that the best UX designer is the person who always aim to understand the business, market, people, time and technology. But first and foremost the roles of her co-workers, in order to achieve the best collaboration, which leads to the best product.

Astrid deserve great recognition for her always happy mind, responsiveness, impressive surplus and strong professionalism which is a huge addition to all projects we have worked on together. She always have the surplus to help me and others on the team and always succeed in making the client feel safe. As a project manager I can lean back when I know she is a part of the team. It is a joy to work with her.
— Project Manager, Dwarf A/S

My superpower is my empathy. I gather knowledge of who they are and what they need through a wide range of methods. Together with my knowledge of how we as humans think and behave, I always take the seat of the user in the meeting room.

Among so many other things, I am passionate about design approaches that focus on play, feelings, value of aesthetics and psychological mechanisms, rather than just effectivity, efficiency and looking at people as users.

I have UX experience in research, analysis, facilitating workshops, wireframing, documentation, testing and presenting to smaller and larger number of people.

When I’m not creating awesome products, I am creating furniture, clothes, paintings, ceramics and LEGO cities. I simply can’t stop creating. Only to walk my dog, do yoga or spend a weekend in the forest.

I come from Jutland, Denmark. My dad is a farmer and my mom is a nurse. My roots are deeply grounded in my upbringing on the country-side while my inherent wings and curious mind have taken me around the world and put me down in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, where I plan to stay with my wonderful boyfriend.
